The Northmont Thunder Bolts wrapped up their season with an impressive performance at the District Championships held at Miami University.
Districts week began Tuesday with diving, where Abby Young placed 17th overall. She advanced past the first cut to complete all eight dives and finished with a score of 229.30, her best score of the season.
The boys competed Saturday morning and delivered several strong swims.
Javier Pfeiler placed 20th in the 50 freestyle (22.08) and 31st in the 100 freestyle (49.82).
Scottie Abbott swam a personal-best 5:33.30 in the 500 freestyle to place 33rd.
Knox Reed earned 22nd in the 100 backstroke with a personal-best 56.49.
The 400 freestyle relay team of Knox Reed, Logan Suchland, Scottie Abbott, and Javier Pfeiler placed 23rd in 3:36.31.
The girls competed Saturday evening and continued the momentum.
Amia Burgess placed 33rd in the 200 freestyle (2:12.55).
Abbie Weeks delivered a historic swim in the 100 butterfly, placing 18th with a personal-best 1:00.00, breaking a 10-year-old school record.
Weeks also placed 23rd in the 100 breaststroke (1:13.13).
From personal bests to a new school record, the Thunder Bolts represented Northmont with pride and determination. It was a strong finish to an outstanding season!
