The Lady Bolts improve to 4-2 overall after the win against Springfield tonight.

Last week, the Lady Bolts struggled with their tough conference games on the road against Centerville and Beavercreek. Against Centerville, the Bolts started strong in sets one and two battling with Centerville until about the 12 point mark. Centerville then took control of the match and put Northmont out of system and they could not recover. The Bolts lost sets one, 17-25, and set two, 18-25 respectively. Set three, the Bolts could not get the flow going and lost 15-25 to fall to 3-1 overall. Senior, Jenna Hall led the way with 8 kills, and 7 digs. Sophomore, Calista Kuntz contributed with 6 kills. Senior, Brianna Abels had 4 kills, 14 assists, and 6 digs. Senior, Halie Hill led the defense with 9 digs.

The Bolts then faced a tough Beavercreek team. The Bolts went point for point against the Beavers in set one and had multiple opportunities to take the first set but missed serves allowed for the Beavers to stay in the game and eventually take set one, 29-31. After a contested first set against the Beavers, the Lady Bolts could not respond in sets two and three. The Beavers kept Northmont out of system and didn't allow for the Bolts to run their middles. The Bolts dropped sets two, 16-25, and set three, 18-25. The Bolts were led by Jenna Hall and Jadyn Johnson with 6 kills each.

The Lady Bolts had a three day weekend of time off before playing against Springfield today on September 2nd. The Lady Bolts came in with a drive to get back to winning and they did just that. Set one was a breeze for Northmont as they put pressure on the service line and kept Springfield out of system which allowed the Bolts to take a set one 25-11 win. In the second set the Bolts started down but responded with a service run and they didn't look back taking a 25-18 set two win. Going into the third set, the Lady Bolts challenged themselves by running more plays and picking up the tempo which allowed them to stay on top and win set three 25-17. The Bolts were led by Junior, Faye Osborne with 7 kills. Halie Hill had 17 digs and 3 aces.

The Lady Bolts improve to 4-2 overall and play Springboro at Springboro on Thursday, September 4th at 6:30pm. Come out and support! GO BOLTS!
