On September 25th, the Lady Bolts beat the Springfield Wildcats in a four set clash. The Lady Bolts were working with a new lineup as two starters were out due to injury. This was a test for the younger players that have been pulled up to prove that they can hold their own and help the Bolts to victory. In the first set, the Bolts battled point for point throughout the set and eventually won 25-23. During the second set the Bolts found their groove and were able to dominate in the way they know how by finding their open shots and playing scrappy defense which led to a 25-19 win in set two. In the third set the Bolts lost momentum and could not find a way to recover as the Wildcats found open shots and made the Bolts work hard to score a point. Springfield's Middle Blocker really broke the Bolts defense apart with her skill and smart shots which helped propel the Wildcats to a 13-25 set four win. In the fourth set the Wildcats carried that momentum over and led set 18-23 which forced a Bolts timeout. After that timeout, the Bolts responded on a big run and found their momentum to win the set 25-23. After this win it improved the Lady Bolts record to 8-8 overall and 5-5 in conference.
