The Northmont DECA Chapter competed at the DECA District 4 Fall Leadership Conference today. The chapter had 72 members compete, and 50 placed at the event. This event gives students an opportunity to present their work to a judge before our January conference, allowing them to qualify for our state DECA conference.

I think today was another great start to the year for the Northmont DECA Chapter. Having students place in every event except one shows this could be another special year for this chapter. At the beginning of the year, I thought confidence wasn't an issue for the group, and I was extremely pleased with how all the kids did today. Regardless of where they place, this isn't easy: getting up in front of a judge and competing. I am extremely proud of all these kids, and I am beyond excited to see what this year brings for this chapter. - Eric Wagner, Northmont DECA Advisor
