Congratulations to Landon McCargish (Wrestling) and Amiah Wright (Bowling) for being named the BW3s February Athletes of the Month.

Landon McCargish
Senior, Wrestler

Landon McCargish was a GWOC Champion at the 157 pound weight class in 2026. He has 156 career wins and counting, and is currently sitting 4th all time in career wins in school history. Landon has a 44-2 record heading into District Tournament this weekend. He is on pace to finish 2nd all time in career wins here at Northmont.

Amiah Wright
Junior, Bowler

Coach Andrew Hall had high praises for Amiah. "I'm incredibly proud of Amiah’s growth this year. She has fully embraced her role as a veteran leader by going above and beyond for her teammates. She regularly spends her own time on weekends mentoring our new bowlers on their technique, showing a level of dedication that is rare to see. Her upbeat energy is the heartbeat of our team, especially during grueling tournaments. She consistently keeps the group focused and supportive, making sure every player feels valued after every frame. Perhaps most importantly, she is an exceptional student. Both on the lanes and in the hallways, and she is exactly the type of representative we want for Northmont Bowling."
Season Highlights include:
- Most consistent set of the year in our highest game of the year. (February 4th)
- High set for the team in our last tournament of the year (February 14th)
- She got 12th as an individual out of 150 bowlers at sectionals. (February 19th)

Amiah is also a part of the girls bowling team that Qualified to the State Tournament this weekend in Columbus!
