On Saturday, February 28th, the Northmont Gymnastics Team finished 6th with their season high team score of 126.725 at the Southwest Districts hosted at Lakota East High School. The girls competed against 29 schools in the southwest district area and had their best meet of the year.

Senior Sophie Bearss was awarded Northmont's Sportsmanship Award and senior Lexie Hoops was awarded Academic All-Ohio as well as a 4-Year Athlete.

Sophomore Evie Barnes was named All-District for beam where she finished 4th with a score of 8.525. To be awarded All-District, a gymnast has to place in the top 10 on any event. Evie secured her spot in the top 6 to advance to the State Individual Meet. She will compete against the best in Ohio next Sunday, March 8th at Hilliard Bradley High School
