The Northmont High School swim and dive team is proud to announce that 11 Thunder Bolts will be advancing to the district competition next week at Miami University. This is the largest district team Northmont has had in recent years.
Sectional week kicked off on a high note with senior diver Abby Young. Abby delivered an outstanding performance, earning a personal record score of 294.6 over 11 dives to secure her spot at districts. She will compete Tuesday at Miami University as she looks to continue her strong postseason run.
The boys followed up with an impressive showing at their sectional meet on Friday, qualifying in multiple events for next Saturday’s district competition.

The girls continued the momentum on Saturday, adding several more district qualifiers.

100 Butterfly – Abbie Weeks (1:00.70)
100 Breaststroke – Abbie Weeks (1:12.88)
400 Freestyle Relay – Abby Young, Amia Burgess, Annika Comer, and Abbie Weeks (4:16.76)
This group has shown tremendous dedication, resilience, and team spirit all season long. To have 11 athletes advancing to districts is a testament to their hard work and commitment to the program.
