Last night was Senior Night for the Northmont Thunderbolts, and the team delivered a performance to remember. Northmont honored five seniors—Javier Pfeiler, Abby Young, Annika Comer, Yanelle Wilkinson-Harper, and Alex Pfeiler—and celebrated the occasion with an impressive team victory over Brookville and CJ.

The Bolts came out strong and never looked back, finishing first with 161 points, followed by Brookville with 125 points and CJ with 104 points. The win was a true team effort and a fitting way to recognize the leadership and dedication of the senior class.

Top finishes on the night included the boys 200 medley relay, where Gage Cohn, Javier Pfeiler, Logan Suchland, and Knox Reed touched first with a time of 1:51.87.
In individual events, Abby Young claimed first place in the girls 200 freestyle (2:19.81) and the girls 500 freestyle (6:14.00).
Knox Reed earned victories in the boys 200 freestyle (1:57.27) and boys 500 freestyle (5:29.09).

The IM races were highlighted by Amia Burgess, who won the girls 200 IM in 2:25.40, and Javier Pfeiler, who captured the boys 200 IM with a time of 2:07.86.
Additional event winners included Logan Suchland in the boys 100 butterfly (1:04.54), Amia Burgess in the girls 100 backstroke (1:12.41), Gage Cohn in the boys 100 backstroke (1:07.45), and Javier Pfeiler in the boys 100 breaststroke (1:04.95).

The meet concluded with an exciting win in the boys 400 freestyle relay, as Knox Reed, Logan Suchland, Scottie Abbott, and Javier Pfeiler finished first in 3:41.69.

The Bolts now turn their attention to postseason competition as they enter the sectional tournament this week. The boys will compete Friday night at Trotwood High School, with races beginning at 6:30 p.m., while the girls will swim Saturday morning at Trotwood, starting at 11:00 a.m. Northmont looks to carry the momentum from Senior Night into sectionals as the team aims for district-qualifying performances.
