The Lady Bolts faced a tough Ansonia squad on Tuesday night and showed resilience in a hard-fought battle.
Northmont struggled to find their energy early, which Ansonia took advantage of, jumping out to a 15–4 lead at the end of the first quarter. Refusing to let the game slip away, the Lady Bolts responded in the second quarter with renewed intensity, outscoring Ansonia 12–2. That strong stretch cut the deficit to just one point heading into halftime.
After the break, both teams struggled to find an offensive rhythm. The third quarter remained low scoring, with Ansonia holding a slim 20–17 advantage going into the final period. In the fourth quarter, Northmont finally found their stride, waking up on the offensive end and scoring 14 points when it mattered most. Their late surge allowed the Lady Bolts to take control down the stretch and secure a gritty 31–28 comeback victory.
Lady Bolts are back in action at Miamisburg, Saturday the 7th. JV tipping off at 6:00 pm with Varsity to follow.
