The Northmont boys basketball team took a trip to Shelby County Tuesday night for a non-conference showdown with Sidney. This was a crucial game as the Bolts and Yellow Jackets both reside in the same District in Division II.

The Bolts jumped out from the start, playing through sophomore Kaleb Kelly on the offensive end. While Sidney made several perimeter shots to keep within single digits for much of the 1st quarter. Northmont would extend the lead to double figures at the half with a 39-27 lead. Kelly and sophomore Josiah Williams provided the combo scoring to help separate.

The 3rd quarter would be a complete flip as the Bolts would extend the lead to 27 points with a 64-37 lead at the quarter break. The 4th quarter would remain much the same as Northmont won 78-42. Kaleb Kelly led scoring with 17 points as the Bolts moved to 12-7 overall with the win.

JV used a 4th quarter run to earn a 58-44 victory. Junior Kaiden Johnson led scorers with 14 points.

Freshman survived a close game 47-46. Loyal Williamson led scorers with 18 points.

All 3 teams return to action this Friday at the Thunderdome for a matchup with Miamisburg.
