Northmont Cheerleading is excited to announce cheerleading tryouts for the 2026–2027 school year. Students entering grades 9–12 next school year are invited to participate in the tryout process and become part of a proud, spirited program that supports Northmont athletics and school culture.

Cheerleading at Northmont High School emphasizes teamwork, leadership, school pride, and athletic skill. The tryout process is designed to clearly communicate expectations and give athletes multiple opportunities to learn and demonstrate skills.

**Parent Meeting – REQUIRED**
?? *Northmont High School Auditorium (Lecture Hall A)*
?? **March 2**
?? **7:45 PM**

At least one parent or guardian must attend this meeting for any athlete planning to try out. Program expectations, schedules, and important details will be reviewed, and families will have the opportunity to ask questions.

**Cheer Clinics**

?? **March 18–20**
?? **3:45–5:45 PM**

Clinics are required and will focus on teaching cheer motions, jumps, sideline material, and performance skills that will be evaluated during tryouts.

Athletes will demonstrate the skills learned during clinics in front of evaluators.

* Students entering **9th–12th grade** for the 2026–2027 school year
* Athletes who can commit to required dates and program expectations
* No prior cheer experience is required, though clinics are mandatory
