After a four set battle with Springboro, the Bolts responded with two wins. A good win against Piqua, and a crucial win against Fairmont that moved the Bolts into fourth place overall in GWOC.
Against Piqua, the Lady Bolts had a slow start trying to figure out the tendencies of the Piqua hitters which allowed the Lady Indians to find the empty holes in the Bolts defense. This allowed Piqua to sneak away with a 21-25 first set win. Set two, the Bolts woke up and found their rhythm and started to play together as one. This allowed the Bolts to go on runs and slow down the Piqua offense and the Bolts responded with a 25-16 win. Sets three, and four were the same story as the Bolts won set three 25-20, and set four, 25-18. The Bolts were led by, Jadyn Johnson with 11 kills, and 5 blocks. Ryleigh Hardwick had 8 kills, 5 digs, and 1 block. Halie Hill had 17 digs.
Against Fairmont, the Bolts came in tied with them in conference standings and whoever won that game had a good chance of finishing fourth overall in the conference. Fairmont took control in the first set and continued to apply the pressure that allowed them to steal the first set, 20-25. The Bolts responded with fire after losing the first set and had one of their best nights behind the service line which allowed them to take a set two win, 25-16. The Bolts carried this energy into set three and got Fairmont out of system and shut down their big hitters and the Lady Bolts ran away with this set winning, 25-10. The same story occured in set four as the FIrebirds had no energy and could not respond to the pressure of Northmont and this allowed the Bolts to finish off the FIrebirds with Freshman Pepper Sampson getting the game winning kill and the Bolts won set four 25-13. The Bolts were led by Jenna Hall with 15 kills, 2 aces, 4 digs, and 5 blocks. Jadyn Johnson had 14 kills, 4 aces, and 3 blocks. Faye Osborne had 8 kills and 2 blocks. Halie Hill led the team with 17 digs and 4 aces. Maddie Hoff had a great service night with 5 aces. Miylee Cassidy had a fantastic defensive night with 8 digs and passed a 2.57.
