Jason Slaughter
I’m excited to officially join the Northmont Lady Thunderbolts coaching staff! Last season at Dunbar, I helped the Lady Wolverines finish 17–5, making history with a 7–0 start (the first since 1995). I was honored to be named Dayton Public Schools Assistant Coach of the Year and to coach in the All-Star Game.
Before that, I spent five years coaching in Young Life Basketball, a Christian recreational league, where we won back-to-back USA Championships. Beyond the court, I’ve built my career serving the community — I currently work as the McKinney-Vento Community Outreach Specialist for Dayton Public Schools, advocating for students and families. I also bring a healthcare background as a trained Trauma Tech with experience at Miami Valley Main and North, as well as an ER Tech. I’m CPR certified and trained in mental health support, because caring for people is always bigger than the game.
I can’t wait to bring my passion, energy, and commitment to the Bolts this season. Go Bolts! #AllN
